Choquequirao means “craddle of gold” and was also the last refuge for the Incas for 36 years during the colonial period. The Incan city of Choquequirao was completely abandoned eversince. Today, our Choquequirao Trek 4 days can take you there with organized tours from Cusco.
CHOQUEQUIRAO TREK IN PERU 4 DAYS / 3 NIGHTS
This religious center of Choquequirao is comparable to Machu Picchu, considering its complexity, the craftsmanship of its stone walls and stunning views. Also, we know Choquequirao as “the sacred sister” of the lost city of the incas.
The Choquequirao Trek 4 days lets you visit a real marvel of the Inca Culture. This spectacular place is located in the Vilcabamba Valley, surrounded by imposing snow mountains and flanked by deep canyons with dense vegetation.
In addition, the Choquequirao Trek 4 days is very challenging because of its steep ascents and descents. But well worth the effort for its panoramic views and ancient Inca ruins. There are also fewer amenities and crowds, which is a prime motivation for many serious hikers who want to enjoy a more unspoiled experience.
If you already visited Machu Picchu, now there is another excuse to visit the incomparable Choquequirao. Similarly, there is another hot destination called Rainbow Mountain, which you can know on a day hike from Cusco.
