Day 1.- Cusco Walking Tour
The 6-day Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley Tour Package from Cusco starts at 12:00 pm. We will pick you up from your hotel to start the guided tour around the city. Starting at “Qoricancha Temple” (gold enclosure), a place that consists of many buildings to worship different deities of the Inca time. You will also walk through original Incan, and colonial streets, which are beautiful within themselves. This tour also includes the local market of San Pedro, a feast for your senses.
End the day with a relaxing dinner at your posh hotel or dine at one of the many extraordinary restaurants in downtown.
Day 2.- Sacred Valley Tour.
Our excursion to Sacred Valley of the incas begins with a pick up from your hotel at 7:00 am. We head towards the Sacred Valley in our private vehicle and visit on the way Sacsaywaman. Not far from here, we will be able to see different species of Andean camelids, such as llamas, alpacas, vicuñas, etc.
After one hour drive, reach the riverside colonial town of Pisaq. Here, visit the distinctive handicraft market, where highly skilled residents sell hand-made articles. From here, you’ll head towards the Inca site and take a guided tour of the archaeological park. Return to pisac and have your lunch.
Afterward, we’ll drive along the sacred valley and make a stop at Inkarri museum. This place shows the great work of those ethnic groups that preceded the Inca Culture. From here, we’ll continue abaord the private vehicle to Urubamba where we stay the night.

Day 3.- Puma Marka Hike to Ollantaytambo
The Puma Marka hike begins with a pick up at 7:00 am and transfer to the trail head near the Inca ruins. Visit Pumamarka and then make your way down an original 12 Km Inca Trail to Ollantaytambo. On this three-hour hike explore massive Inca farming terraces as you descend to the valley. Upon arrival at Ollantaytambo, enjoy your lunch and then take a guided tour of Ollantaytambo.
In the afternoon, take the train to Aguas Calientes and stay the night here.

Pachamanca is a traditional Andean dish, based on beef, chicken, pork, etc. seasoned with “huacatay”, a traditional Andean herb, chili, cumin and pepper, as well as original Andean products such as potatoes and corn. This conventional cooking method uses a base of preheated stones that give the food a natural and earthy flavor that is very different from typical city food.
Day 4.- Machu Picchu Private Tour
Today you’ll finally visit Machu Picchu! Your guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning and take you to the bus stop, enjoy a 25 minutes bus ride up to the citadel. You’ll have about a 3-hour guided tour where you’ll visit the most important parts of the monument and learn about Inca culture and history.
At the end of Machu Picchu guided tour, you’ll take the bus down to Aguas Calientes where you will have lunch. Before boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo.
At your arrival, our representative will meet you and take you back to your hotel in the Sacred Valley.

Day 5.- Chinchero, Maras and Moray Private Tour
This private tour picks us up from the hotel in Cusco at 8:00 am. We take our private transportation to the salt mines of Maras. This natural wonder is an incredible spectacle of beauty. Formed by a natural underground salt-stream, the salt has been harvested since pre-Inca times by evaporating the water from the spring in small pools. The flow emerges at a stream, and as it flows towards the floor of the valley, is weaves through an intricate system of channels where it is collected into the hundreds of ancient terraced ponds. Here, you will have the chance to buy pink salt and souvenirs at nearby shops.
Afterwards, We will proceed to our next destination and visit The archaeological park of Moray, which boasts four amphitheater-like terraces, made by the Incas. These terraces, were carved deep into the earth, in the shape of a bowl, Moray was thought to be used to determine the optimal conditions for growing crops.
Finally, we will stop in Chinchero to experience the weaving demonstration process. At the end, we head back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel.

Planning a trip to Mach Pichu can be challenging, and I only realized it when I finally decided to travel. We had an incredible experience with Mapi Tour, who arranged a fantastic week-long adventure for my husband and me—from the Amazon to Cusco and Machu Picchu. Every detail was handled seamlessly, and all our accommodations were excellent. Since this was a special occasion trip, Mapi ensured the hotels were aware, and each one added a thoughtful touch to make our stay even more memorable.
The absolute highlight of our journey was our guide, Karen, who accompanied us from Cusco to Machu Picchu. Her passion for her country and heritage shined through in every moment. She was knowledgeable, kind, and went out of her way to take special care of us.
We loved that we were booking with a local Cusco-based company, and our itinerary truly reflected that. From boating down the Amazon and walking across treetop footbridges among the monkeys to exploring Cusco and nearby mountain towns for an authentic glimpse into local life and culture, every experience was unforgettable. Taking the Hiram Bingham train to Machu Picchu was an absolute blast and a perfect way to round out our trip.

Awesome Tour Package for Machu Picchu!
This was our first time to Machu Picchu and I was nervous about all of the logistics. We were traveling with a family of 11 with two small children. I booked a hotel in Cusco. I contacted Mapi tours a while back and they offered a great itinerary at a reasonable price. I’m so glad I went with them. They took care of everything from booking the train, to booking the shuttle bus, to booking the admission tickets to Machu Picchu. They were quick to respond via WhatsApp.
David was our guide and picked us up in a private shuttle early morning at around 5 AM. The drive to the train station was a rough 2 Hour Dr. One of our passengers got altitude sickness, and they had solution and remedies to help. David was very knowledgeable. And guide us through the crazy train station traffic. We were there right in time for the train. He even advised us on the bathroom situation (which was helpful). He was with us the whole day. They even included another guy to join us at Machu Picchu since we had small Children. It was helpful because 3/4 of the way through, the little children’s decided to go back so the second tour guide walk them back.
They even made a recommendation and negotiated a great price for lunch buffet at Aqua Caliente. They recommended circuit two for the tour, which was perfect. They booked the tickets well in advance so we got a great entry time at 10 AM. We completed the circuit with plenty of pictures in three hours. We went straight to the lunch buffet and it was fantastic.
We made the train back and arrive back at our hotel at approximately 8:40 PM. All in all, it was a fantastic day for us. David and Liz made the tour wonderful. I would highly recommend going with Mapi Tours. You don’t have to worry about anything.
