Manu Jungle Tours Peru 4 days
Day 1.- Cusco – Jungle Lodge
Manu Jungle Tours from Cusco start early in the morning in our private transportation, stopping at Ninamarka to visit the pre-Inca burial towers. Then, we drive through the mountains to get to the typical and folkloric town of Paucartambo.
Here we will take a short walk around the town before carrying on to Tres Cruces, the highest point, and entrance to Manu National Park. From here we will continue into the Cloud, and explore for about 3 hours to observe the National bird of Peru (the cock of the rock), the biggest monkey in Peru (wooly monkeys) and observe different types of bromeliads and beautiful orchids. After that, we arrive at our lodge in the evening, where we will sleep in a beautiful and rustic lodge.
Day 2.- Peru Rainforest & Wildlife Tours– Jungle Lodge
After our delicious breakfast, we will continue in our private bus towards Atalaya. On the way we will stop to observe a coca plantation, we will also stop at a vantage point, where you can capture a fantastic view of the jungle and river.
Then, we head towards the Port of Atalaya, which is located on the shores of the Madre de Dios River. From Atalaya, we leave by motorized boat to our Ecological Reserve. From the boat, we will be able to see an enormous diversity of animals, birds, plants, and flowers.
In the afternoon, we will go to explore the Manu Ecological Reserve, where we will see tarantulas, different types of spiders, poisonous frogs, tree frogs, snakes, caimans, and monkeys.
Day 3.- JungleLodge – Machu Wasi Lake
We get up early in the morning to visit the parrots, parakeets, and mini macaws clay lick. After our breakfast, we will walk and explore the Manu jungle for several hours and see different animals, birds, and plants. Our group boards the boat to cross the river and follow a trail for 30 minutes. During this jungle tour, you will observe interesting flora such as sensitive plants, heliconias, fruit, etc.
Later, we walk until we reach Lake Machuwasi where we paddle rafts to observe the birds like the primitive Hoatzin, alligators, monkeys, and capybaras with luck. By night we will search for Caimans. At the end of the day, spend the night in our rustic lodge.
Day 4.- Jungle Lodge – Atalaya Port – Cusco
Very early in the morning, we take a short walk until breakfast, and then we will return to Atalaya by boat where our private van will be waiting to take us back to Cusco. We will arrive back in Cusco in the late afternoon.
