Inca Jungle Trek 4 Days

CLASSIC INCA JUNGLE TREK 4 DAYS

The Inca Jungle Trek 4 days is one of the most popular adventures to Machu Picchu, the famous icon of the Inca civilization. Our Inca Jungle Trail offers a unique and exhilarating experience for travelers looking to explore the diverse andean landscapes and local cultures, while also taking on the challenge of reaching this famous landmark.

The Inca Jungle 4-day Trek is an alternative route to Machu Picchu, as compared to the classic Inca Trail. This Inca Jungle Trail was another main access to Machu Picchu back in inca times. This route was originally used by the Incas to transport goods and supplies between the high Andes and the lush, tropical rainforest.

Today, the 4-day Inca Jungle Trek to Machu Picchu has become the most popular adventure route due to its varied landscapes and outdoor activities. The trek is characterized by rugged mountain trails, dense forests, picturesque valleys, and stunning waterfalls. It combines trekking, mountain biking, rafting, and zip lining, making it a perfect choice for adventure seekers.

Your Inca Jungle Tour begins in Cusco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire, where participants are picked up and driven to the starting point at Abra Malaga Pass, located at an altitude of 4,350 m /14,271 ft. above sea level. From here, travelers begin their descent through the cloud forest, passing through small villages and observing the authentic Andean lifestyle.

The first day involves mountain biking through a thrilling downhill route, covering approximately 3,000 meters (9,842 feet). The next day, travelers continue on foot, hiking through stunning landscapes and challenging terrain, reaching the town of Santa Teresa where travelers can relax in the natural hot springs after a long day of trekking.

The last leg of the hike leads trekkers to the famous town of Aguas Calientes, situated at the base of Machu Picchu. The final day of the trek is dedicated to exploring Machu Picchu. Travelers can either choose to take a bus or hike up to the entrance of this ancient citadel. A professional guide leads the tour through the impressive city, highlighting the historical significance, architecture, and engineering of the Inca civilization.

Best Memorable Trip Ever!! Our experience with Mapi Tour Peru was terrific, incredible and first rate. We worked with David to set up the tours and hikes of Sacred Valley, Pisaq, Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, other Inca sites near Cusco, Rainbow Mountain and Lake Titicaca. Every part of our tour was well thought out and memorable from cocktails at the San Cristobal Church belltower our first evening to lunch at the Hacienda Huayocari to the private home tour in Ollantaytambo and boat tour to the Uros and Taquile islands. We visited Peru during the Winter Solstice which is a very special time of year with many celebrations and much dancing in the streets. The accommodations chosen for us were first rate. We especially loved the Casa Andina in Cusco. Our tour guide, Catalina was a gem. She was my inspiration to keep hiking up the tall and narrow mountains and was so knowledgeable of the history of where we visited. I can't give enough great affirmations for this company. They were great to work with. Written July 18, 2023

Perfect Trip to Cusco & Machu Picchu! We had a fantastic experience using Mapi Tour. I reached out to a number of tour guides to help me plan my 1 week vacation to Lima/Cusco/Machu Picchu. I number of them where located in the United States so they seemed more like middlemen, but after interacting with David I felt the most comfortable working with him as a local tour operator with years of experience leading tours in Cusco and Machu Picchu. My wife and I did a tour of Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and added Rainbow mountain whilst we were in Cusco. David and his team - Karen, Freddy, and Eloy were very professional, friendly and supportive to our needs in making sure we were worry-free about our tours. I truly recommend using local tour guides and David if you are planning a trip to Peru. Written August 15, 2023
