Day 1.- Cusco Walking Tour
Our agents meet you at the airport and escort you, in private transport, to your upscale hotel to relax and acclimate to Cusco’s high altitude. Around noon, start a walking tour (at your own speed) of downtown Cusco. Walk through streets with Incan and colonial influences to sense earlier times. Begin at the holy Qoricancha Temple, which was originally covered with gold siding inside and out.
Visit the Cathedral, which has over 300 paintings from the Cusqueñian School of Art. Investigate and experience San Pedro Market with all your senses. Church. End your first day with a relaxing dinner at a nice restaurant.

Day 2.- Huchuy Qosqo Trek

Day 3.- Explore the Inca Sites of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo.
After a delicious and nutritious breakfast, we will continue hiking down for about 1 hour and a half. Our transportation will meet us on the way.
From here, we will drive through Sacred Valley to Pisac colonial town. Our tour includes a visit to the Pisac Inca site and its souvenir market. During the guided tour, you will visit the most important areas of this amazing Inca site such as the oldest pre-Hispanic cemetery, The religious sector, and the largest agriculture center. Optional hike down to the town of Pisac.
After this visit, We will continue towards the colonial town of Pisac, Where you will have lunch and time to explore the souvenir market.
Then we will continue driving for about 2 hours through the sacred Valley until we reach Ollantaytambo a typical living Inca town. Here, we will see the famous temple of the sun, the temple of the water, granaries, and stone narrow alleys on the mountainside connected by ancient pathways.
Finally, we will take you to your Hotel in Ollantaytambo.

Day 4.- Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
From Ollantaytambo, you’ll take the train and get off at Kilometer 104 to begin our trek on the Inca Trail. Not long after, we arrive at the Chachabamba archaeological site.
We’ll ascend for about 4 hours until we reach the impressive archaeological complex Wiñaywayna at an altitude of 2700 meters (almost 6900 feet). We’ll have a lunch break, and continue our ascent until we reach the Sun Gate (Inti Punku). At the Sun Gate, you’ll experience your first spectacular view of Machu Picchu. After this wonderful experience, we’ll hike down to the bus that takes us to Aguas Calientes, the base village of Machu Picchu. We’ll spend the night in a hotel at Aguas Calientes.

Day 5.- Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu – Cusco
The next morning after breakfast, we’ll return by bus to Machu Picchu for your 2-hour guided tour. You’ll visit the most important areas of Machu Picchu: the Guard House, the Sun Temple, the royalty area, the Main Plaza, the Three Windows Temple, the Sacred Sun Dial and other attractions.
At the end of the Short Inca Trail Trek to Machu Picchu 2 days, you’ll have time to fully explore the citadel. Your guide will tell you when it’s time to descend from the monument to eat lunch in Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, you’ll board the train to return to the Ollantaytambo station, and then bus to Cusco.

Day 6.- Hike to Rainbow Mountain
Visit the Rainbow Mountain on a challenging day hike. You’ll see quaint villages, beautiful adobe houses, herds of llamas and alpacas, plus magnificent views of the Ausangate glacier (6385m/21,000ft.), the highest mountain in the Cusco region. With its unsurpassed beauty and power, this is an excellent trip for trekkers who love a true outdoor adventure.
