Luxury Machu Picchu Tour Package
Day 1.- Cusco Walking Tour
Retrieved from the airport, taken to your upscale to relax and acclimate to the altitude of 11,000ft. Around noon, picked up from your hotel around 12:00pm to start a walking tour (at your own speed) of downtown Cusco. Walk through original Incan and colonial streets to sense earlier times.
Investigate and experience San Pedro Market with your senses. End the day with a cocktail in the peaceful silence of 16-century San Francisco Church, followed by a relaxing dinner at your posh hotel.
Day 2.- Sacred Valley Tour
With your private guide and transportation, take the morning to explore Pisaq, a lovely village in the Sacred Valley, about an hour from Cusco. In the Pisac Market, find jewelry, woven items, and clothes made out of alpaca, perfect for souvenirs and gifts. Stop in another small town, Urubamba, for a luscious buffet lunch. Then visit the ruins of Ollantaytambo and see the huge Six Monoliths of the Sun Temple and the exquisite, carved Princess Baths with water still flowing, centuries later. Board your luxury train to Machu Picchu Village. Stay in one of the finest hotels to relax and dine before your excursion to Machu Picchu the next day.
Day 3.- Guided Tour of Machu Picchu
Wake up late, relax, or sight see a little in the morning. Your private, guided Machu Picchu Tour starts around 11:00 am. Your guide comes to your hotel, and then accompanies you on the 25-minute bus up the hill to Machu Picchu. Your tour is tailored to your interests in ancient lifestyle, science, mythology, religion, engineering, or other topics.
Your guide will have the answers. Explore the most important places of the citadel: the Guard house, Sun temple, and Royalty group, Main Plaza, Three Windows Temple, and the Sacred Sun Dial. Wear sturdy shoes for this 2-hour tour because you walk on narrow stone paths and steps.
Later, ride the bus down to Machu Picchu Village, and then take the train to the Poroy train station. Private transport takes you back to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 4. - Rainbow Mountain Hike
This last day has an early start at 4:30 am. Your guide and private transportation will pick you up with fresh coffee and a breakfast snack served on board a roomy, private van. You can even stretch your legs and nap on the 3-hour trip. Eat a full, hot breakfast upon arrival to the small town of Cusipata. That hearty breakfast will fuel the 3-hour roundtrip hike to the summit.
The last part of the hike is the steepest, and the panoramic view and delicious snacks are the award. Please note that the weather is very unpredictable. If the weather is bad, you may have an alternate adventure for your personal safety and enjoyment. On the way back to Cusco, enjoy a filling, traditional lunch at Colca Restaurant. After the full day, return to Cusco arriving at your hotel around 5 pm for your last night in Cusco.
Day 5. – Transfer to the Airport
At your request, a private van takes you from your hotel to the airport in Cusco.
